"All night Dolphinball" is now scheduled for Saturday, 2/13 in our gym from 10:00 pm to 6 am. I have the forms. If you missed conditioning you need to get these ASAP. Collect your donations and bring them with you with the permission slip to the event. This is a MAJOR fundraiser for the program......it helps us get equipment and supplies and helps with costs of the Varsity spring break trip to Disney Spring Training this spring. (last time we went we raised over $6,000.) Checks should be made payable to OLHS.
Tryouts will begin on Monday 2/22/10 after school. Be sure that you have a completed vhsl physcial (forms available on www.vhsl.org). Dress for both inside and out. You must have passed 5 subjects in the first SEMESTER and be taking 5 credits in the second semester to be eligible. There is also a beach district 2.0 gpa rule that can be waived once during your career.
Pro ball update:'01 grad Bill Bray (Cincinnatti Reds) underwent Tommy John surgery this spring '02 grad Mike Ballard (Texas Rangers) pitched for their AA team in Frisco and will be playing winter ball in Puerto Rico this winter.
'07 grad DJ Fitzgerald (Chicago Cubs) played for their A team in Boise.
