Congratulations to the JV Dolphins on an outstanding run to finish the season. Their come from behind win over Landstown was their fourth consecutive victory and 6th in their final seven games. Great job!!!
I am extremely proud of the way that we finished. Beating Kempsville on Senior day to get into the tourney and fighting to the last pitch against Kellam in the tourney. We have shown a lot of growth over the last couple of weeks....things are moving in the right direction....remember that progress is a process that is not often linear......
College Update
Ryan Shook ('08) is a RHP with Norfolk State University. Ryan was their number one starter and averaged 9.9 K per IP last season. Killian Strenn ('10) is an infielder with the College of Albemarle. Alex Lambert '(11) is an infielder/outfilder at Virginia Wesleyan College.
Pro Ball Update:
Bill Bray ('01) is in the big leagues with the Reds (currently on the DL).....he is a left handed reliever who was second in major league baseball in appearances (79) last season. Mike Ballard ('02) is a left handed started with the Harrisburg Senators (AA-Washington Nationals). Ballard is 1-3 with a 3.30 ERA for them. Shawn Morimando ('11) is a left handed pitcher in the Cleveland Indians organization. He has been assigned to the Lake County (OH) Captains (A) where he is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA..
